++ABOUT THE DESIGN++

"1stLt Travis Manion, USMC, gave the ultimate sacrifice on April 29, 2007, on his second deployment to Iraq. While on patrol searching for a suspected insurgent house in Fallujah, Travis, his fellow Marines, and Iraqi Army counterparts were ambushed. Travis led a counterattack against enemy forces, drawing fire away from his wounded comrades and allowing every member of his patrol to survive. For his actions, he was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star with Valor. Today, over 300,000 Spartans nationwide carry forward the legacy of fallen heroes like Travis by leading with character and living out the “If Not Me, Then Who…” ethos."

When I learned Travis took fire away from his team not once, not twice, but three times, I couldn't help but think of the type of courage it took. I can't help of think of the word, hero. This scripture came to mind immediately: John 15:13 GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS. 

"Veterans and families of the fallen often feel isolated post-service, with over 20 of our nation’s heroes dying by suicide each day. TMF takes a proactive approach by addressing root causes including isolation and finding renewed purpose. Our programs focus first on investing in veterans and families of the fallen to improve their mental health and well-being. Then, we provide veterans and survivors opportunities to lead—from mentoring local youth to uniting communities to honor the fallen."

Without hesitation, I will support these veterans and their families. We can be a provision to the people who are in need of help. This is my way of giving towards this fight. I'm an artist. I will use the talents Yahweh gave me to provide a means of donation. Every dollar made from this shirt will be donated towards this fight.
